National Walk to Work Week (9-13 May 2011)

26/01/2012

Walk to Work Week (9-13 May 2011) is a free national challenge run by the charity Living Streets. The week aims to encourage employees to walk more as part of their commute to work and working day, and to help workplaces promote walking to their workforce.

Employers and workplace can participate very easily.   Living Streets provides a free online tool where you can register your workplace as taking part. Staff can sign up and join the workplace team. The online tool is an easy way for staff to record how much walking they do during the National Walk to Work Week.  A workplace total can be created so you can all see how well the team is doing. There will be workplace and national leader boards to show who the top walkers are and encourage a bit of  ‘healthy‘ competition.
